The tournament was dedicated to the loving memory of Stewart Carrico, Cheryl Hairston and Chris Melton – Melanoma Warriors who fought courageously but lost their battles.

Golfers had chances to win a 2008 All New 1 BMW Convertible, $10,000 Cash, and many other great prizes.

The day began with breakfast, graciously catered by Einstein Bros. and Kolache Heaven.

Free Skin Cancer Screenings were conducted by Dr. Paul Bergstresser, a leading melanoma expert, and his staff from UT Southwestern Medical Center.

The 4-player scramble continued through early afternoon and ended with a luncheon sponsored by the Texas Society of CPAs, a silent auction, and raffle.

Auction items included great golf packages – Colonial Country Club, Westin Stonebriar Country Club, Stonebridge Ranch Country Club, and many more. Golfers also bid on some spectacular autographed memorabilia from such great names as Tiger Woods, Troy Aikman and Daryl “Moose” Johnston, just to name a few.

Scott Murray, former NBC5 Sports Director/Anchor and host of the award winning Scott Murray’s Sports Extra, emceed the afternoon’s events and raffled off over $15,000 in prizes.
